I read an interesting description of the eagle’s behavior:
[“Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.”]
Western European cultures have long sought remedies for lack… most especially a lack of coins! These old simples do work! Chiefly they work because they require you to address their application with a positive state of mind and to do that with authority, you must shift your thinking and so you shift your energy…the same personal energy that is attracting and repelling opportunity into your reach. If you are in a really tight spot and you’re wishing to shift that energy but don't feel as if you are, then….act ‘as if’! See yourself solving your financial dilemmas! Picture it in your minds’ eye! Hold that thought and make use of some the olde ways:
Roman grandmothers knew how to elementally call for a change of fortune! The most handy and potent tool they used was basil! To bring a forgiving, forever love and its fulfillment into a new marriage they would sprinkle it under the wedding bed…baby to come! The scent of basil steers the mind towards resolutions. It has been used by the ancient Vedic’s to cleanse the auric field and invite healing on several levels; body, mind and spirit. The American Indians use basil to send prayers of good luck for any new project. Celts would pick a fresh sprig and stuff it into a pocket or bosom to ensure an exchange of coins. Basil is considered of such strong effect that the Roman Catholics have included it in their church blend of incense since all of that began. Basil essential oil is fairly easy to find and not too expensive. Be creative with it… under your bed? Inside your wallet? Under your front door mat to invite opportunity…picture that happening! It's so easy to find fresh growing basil in your grocery store!
Have you ever heard of Grains of Paradise? Peppery little balls of spice that open up the doors before you to change your luck, grant your wishes, bring you greater prosperity! Those are a few of the olde tales. A far and near eastern spice, Grains of Paradise can be found in most good grocery shops or stores. I keep a jar for my Khyphi oil…it helps it to age. But I’ve take a small handful of them and ‘charged them’ [that would be infusing them with a visual imprint of me accepting cash!] and then I’ve thrown them into the nearest inlet or out to sea asking the Goddess to receive my wish and fulfill it. Ok, so it sounds a bit melodramatic… It’s worked for me, though. ‘Nuff said? The action of making a sincere gift shifts the energy around you and opens up possibilities that were not there before! Gifting, when it is done sincerely, is always a shifting of the energy flow. Try it!
Patchouli, that old hippie scent, smelling like rich, loamy earth being turned, has always been a scent of plenty and solidity. It captures a quality of growth, abundance and nurture, like rich earth! Dab it along the your thresholds to invite the quality of new growth and abundance! Remember when purchasing patchouli oil that it should be immeadiately rich, never settle for diluted knock offs! Patchouli oil makes a fine base note to blend yourself a true MONEY OIL! [please note; Daughters of Isis will provide you with a spactacular $ Oil in a bottle, mist, incense or soap! Just give me call!] Our blend combines rich patchouli, Haitian vetiver, a wonderfully randy coconut, drawing bay, bringing a bayberry scent with clove bud and a beautiful Mysore sandalwood! It's hugely popular and I'm happy to recommend it to you.
Still, you might consider blending your own. One of the most effective reference books' you will ever find to explore the psychological, magical and spiritual properities of herbs (oils) remains Scott Cunningham's "Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs"... once you have that, all you have to do is educate yourself and begin to experiment in any direction your instincts or your bliss takes you! Enjoy yourself and use the power of scent to help lift you from your dilemmas.
